Over the years my work has changed direction many times. Like most artists, I’ve followed new interests, experimented with different approaches and explored unfamiliar territory. But every so often I find myself drawn back to the things that first made me want to create in the first place.
Not to repeat them. To understand them.
There is a certain energy in the work that comes from instinct. The kind of ideas you make before you know all the rules. Before experience teaches you what should and shouldn’t work. Looking back, I can see things in those earlier pieces that I couldn’t fully appreciate at the time.
